I know it's the sort of thing that should be a reveal...
... but I'm so excited about it I just gotta spill the beans.
C is too busy to be able to put too much work or thought into a Halloween costume this year, and should realistically be something he could put together relatively last minute out of found objects in his apartment. But it's been a long time since I've felt excited about the thought of a paired costume, and I was undeterred.
I, the queen of the last-minute, inanimate object costume,* got to work puzzling it out. Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman from Gattica? Indiana Jones and Marion?
And then it came to me.
He will be Marty McFly, and I will be the flux capacitor.
I can't wait.
*one year I dressed all in green and was a blade of grass. The next year I added a red scarf to my head and I was an olive. One year I dressed in khaki, put some tinfoil around my neck and a construction paper 2 on my chest. A pencil. Another year I dressed in white, tied a rope around my neck and voila! A tampon.
