Firstly, my apologies. I'm so terrible at keeping my LJ updated. I think I'm going through one of those 'what am I going to do with my life?' personal crises at the moment, and I'm severely lacking motivation to do anything.
To keep myself distracted, I've been watching older WaT eps. And it's strange, it doesn't even feel like the same show that it is now. I find myself missing the little things.
- Banter and jokes between characters. Didn't Danny use to be a tease?
- Scenes with more than three agents in the same room. Was there ever a full team shot this season? It felt like everyone was being paired off. I miss the 'team' vibe.
- Getting emotionally invested in the missing person. I can't recall myself getting teary over a victim this season. I think the ability to form an emotional connection with the viewer was one of the things that set WaT apart from the rest. Also, it seemed like the agents weren't as affected by the victims than they were in previous seasons.
- Backstory for the main characters (other than Jack). Because I'm curious, what happened between Sam and her mother? Where's Rafi, Silvia and Nicky? Has Viv completely recovered from her heart condition?
I guess most things can be blamed on mediocre writing. Also, I don't really remember half the season 4 eps, they were all so generic. If I've missed something blatant, let me know. And feel free to add to the list!
