I haven't posted in a while, mostly because I really haven't had anything to say. Christmas was good -- nice and low key. My folks had been busy, so they didn't have any huge, grandiose plans for the weekend; we mostly sat around and played board games and watched the dog. (The dog is kind of insane, and has a tendancy to run around barking madly and growling at nothing, for no apparent reason.)
Last week was really pretty pointless; the week between Christmas and New Year's Eve is always pretty slow on campus, and this was no exeception. Well, I still got paid, so whatever.
New Year's Eve, in Rockport, was a lot of fun. It always is... they have their own First Night sort of thing, only it's a really small town, so a lot of the acts are local performers and residents. My personal favourite is Peter Marston and friends. Some of you may recognize Peter Marston as Captain Granville, from
Voyage of the Mimi. He and a bunch of friends get together and sing sea chanties, which is a lot of fun.
And today... we have a snow day. Campus is closed due to "severe weather," which is fine by me.
