Now on a completely unrelated topic! (Edit: At first, I had no segue from "I love life" to what I'm about to say next. Had I not included this edit, I would have come across as a ruthless, frigid bitch. Please note that the reason I am laughing has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with what I'm about to say next. Thank you.)
My world came crashing down around me at lunch yesterday. It's all Aboodi's fault. Alison and I could not believe this. Did you know that Hellen Keller, THE Hellen Keller, supported euthanizing babies? BABIES! Aboodi learned that in one of his classes. It totally brought my world crashing down. You know what else? Sterilizing human beings didn't become illegal everywhere in the United States until 1983. 1983!!!! And do you wanna know where the Nazis learned all about euthanasia/sterilization? The U.S. At one point the U.S. in direct competition with Germany to see how many people we could sterilize.
Just thought I should share this happy news with you all. Plus I have nothing else to write about... sooo... this seemed as good a topic as any.
I had my first test of the year today. I'm sure you all wanted to know that.
OH! Actually I do have somehting to write about! Good ol' Toccina played at a United Way benefit at the Gouviea Vineyard in Wallingford yesterday. Wooo! Three hours of playing. Needless to say my neck hurts, and I have a violin hickey the size of a grapefruit. But it was fun! Then we went to Tavern on Main after, since the vineyard didn't feed us. And Beth and Mary told me a funny story about them staying out until the sun rose. And their new friend Chuck. Hehehe. I wish I wasn't sick and that I could have joined the adventure! Next time. Then Mary and I drove really slowly down the road. Yeah. That's about it.
I'm going to Born into Brothels now. That'll be a pick-me up.
