Join the Impact -- Protest Prop 8 on November 15th![](http://i.ixnp.com/images/v3.55/t.gif)
On the steps of your City Hall on November 15th at 10:30am PST / 1:30pm EST, our community will take to the streets and speak out against Proposition 8 and all of the other pro-equality losses that we have faced in our lifetimes, in our parents’ lifetimes, and for many generations before us. WE CAN’T DO THIS ALONE! WE NEED YOUR HELP! We need organizers in every major city to work with us and get out the protest! I know you’re all tired from all of the work you’ve done for this great election year, but I’m asking for one more push! Let the country hear our voices together. Let them see that we are a strong, adamant, and powerful community that deserves equal rights, and CAN’T BE DEFEATED!

I have to admit it - I really want to go. But since I have Kyleen that weekend, and I'm not taking a two year old to the mess and potential riot that will turn into...
I'm conflicted.
Responsible bisexual adult, with a voice and a presence...
Responsible mother, who hasn't seen her daughter in over two weeks... (Yeah, babysat tonight - i.e. went to sleep in the other room; the girls were already asleep; so still haven't seen Ky)
Mothering wins out every time, but the conflicted part is because I can't be sure that my perspective that I need to be with Kyleen this weekend (which is the precursor - the given - to why it is that she then obviously can't be in the middle of that mess if Philly has one of it's infamous riots) is for her own good or for mine. To clarify, since that sentence looks a little convoluted, even to me - not asking advice. Just venting, and putting my thoughts down in writing, so that hopefully in the morning, things will look a little clearer.
