Call for HELP - Computer/RAM help that is…

Dec 12, 2006 07:56

When it comes to computers - some things I have a great grasp on - other things like upload/download speeds - what do they mean? - am I getting it for what I am paying for with Charter or not?

Also VONAGE is pissin me off - well that’s not a fair statement as it could be the cable services that is causing the issues. More on that later in another post perhaps.

So - is there anyone that can help me understand the questions I have??? I sure hope so.

Tests were done when not running any other program. Honestly I have no idea what those results mean - duhhhh.   Am I paying for too high of speed and not getting it?

RAM question:

I am in the process of obtaining more RAM for the computer as we only have 512 currently - looking to get another 512 to double it - hoping that will speed things up some too.

What is a good website to obtain RAM? Any better than others? What should I Iook for?

Thanks for any and all help anyone can give! I truly appreciate it.
