It's hot. Really hot - unseasonably so. I had three cold showers yesterday... but I actually didn't mind. It's early enough in the season that I'm not too bothered by the humidity. If anything, it's exciting. It feels like Thursday. If weather could be day, that is. A promise of things to come, if you will allow me to be cheesy and stuff.
This is the sort of weather when I should be by a lake or a pool. Laying in grass. Being lazy. Having a drink. Chatting with friends. Reading. Dreaming. Just crushing on life. And all of that sort of good stuff that leaves you feeling optimistic and hopeful about things.
I went out yesterday to buy a few things I needed for the week. I slowly made my way to Boushey's and watched everything floating down Elgin. Half of Ottawa was out walking around. Eating icecream, drinking beer on patios, and just strolling. It was nice. It reminded me why I love summer so much - people just appear out of everywhere and the world seems more alive.
Evenings in Centretown are fun. But I really love Elgin Street on an early weekend morning - once they hose all of the puke off the street, there's something quite lovely about the atmosphere.
That's enough rambling for now.
I'll write more later. I've been thinking a lot lately, but I haven't been so good with the sharing part.
