Just a short little something for a fill Crossover with How I Met Your Mother
Barney comes to visit his brother at S.H.I.E.L.D.
“Now that’s a suit.” Barney said excitedly grinning as her turned to look at Ted, Lilly, Robin and Marshal who were standing behind him staring.
“What are you doing here?” Clint asked making note of the eyes on them. “And how did you make it all the way down here?” He asked glaring at the sharply dressed man,
“Can’t I just come to see my little brother?” Barney asked reaching a finger and running his fingertips over the purple and black of Clint’s suit. “What is this made out of?” He asks pulling at an edge.
“Why are you really here?” Clint asked brushing the hand away from his clothes, very aware of the eyes of his team mates boring into his back.
“Hawkeye has a brother?” He hears Tony ask in the background; his family had never been in his family beyond his parents.
“Fine, Fine. I’m here to prove a point.” Barney admitted smiling. “They didn’t believe me when I told them I had a brother who worked with the avengers” He said shrugging and whipping imaginary lint from his perfectly pressed suit.
“He doesn’t just work with them he’s one of them, your brother is one of the avengers.” Ted said his voice raising. “Barney’s brother is one of the avengers.” He says hysterically turning towards his Marshal. Marshal took a moment before reaching back and slapping Ted hard a crossed the face. “Thanks, I needed that.” He assured nodding.
“You’re not supposed to be here.” Clint told Barney ignoring their audience all together at that point.
“Nonsense, we’re family anywhere you go I can go.” Barney assured him still grinning. “Is that secret agent Robin, this is way better than lesbian robin.” Barney said excitedly. “What did I tell you guys, this is going to be legendary.” Barney tells them face scrunched in excitement as he raises his hand for a high-five.
Clint groans and hangs his head as Tony takes the liberty of high-fiving his brother, it’s going to be a very long day.
