Finally...an update.
So, I think I've made like fifty million attempts at blogging and failed miserably each time. But just for a quick update-- I am deeply entrenched in the writing and research of a novel. It might be the stupidest thing I've ever written, and at this point, I'm definitely taking it way too seriously. Especially since writing is supposed to be about telling a story and I tend to get caught up in the details that don't make a whole lot of difference.
But, when that happens, I drift back to another writing world that I can just cut loose and have fun with...fanfiction. It's intensely entertaining to take the characters that have already been fleshed out on TV (or a movie or a book) and do something different with them. I totally dig it and can just write from my gut. Because I already know everything there is to know about the characters and I can just make them do what I want.
