Friday Wrapup and Last Thoughts on Saturday

May 05, 2007 06:16

Street Sense went to the track to gallop for the final time on Friday.

It rained almost all day on Friday.

This is a cake someone delivered to the barn--

We left the track mid morning and headed back to our motel room to watch the CNBC segments. The featured piece on Clint aired during Power Lunch, midday.

Final thoughts on Derby Day before we head for the racetrack with Carl, Wanda and entourage:

Street Sense is doing great, we are all excited but at this point you feel a bit resigned to whatever happens, happens. It's out of anyone's control, it's up to the jockey, the horse, and whether the race unfolds so Street Sense can thread his way through the pack and get to the wire first.

I'll get plenty of photos today, win or lose, so I'll post photos of us in our Derby outfits. It is still cloudy and humid outside, but not cold, and the chance of rain this afternoon is down to about 20%. So it should be a good day. Often it can be cold on this day, today it should reach 76 degrees which is near perfect temperature.

Talk to you later.
