Birmingham produced one of the most promising individuals so far, Chris Sligh. He is a nice kid (pudgy, dark curly hair in case you don't remember him), has a good sense of humor, way above average voice, and made a good song choice in singing the Seal song. He's in my top two right now, and I'm predicting that Chris Sligh and Melinda Doolittle (from the Memphis auditions) get into the final 12.
The L.A. auditions last night were the biggest snooze so far. Very uninteresting and it makes a lot of people angry that they gave the thumbs up to about 40 singers from L.A. but we only got to see three of them. I did appreciate the old guy Sherman singing for his deceased wife.
