Weekend Getaway
My dad has a cabin near Big Sky, Montana. He goes there every summer to spend a couple weeks fly fishing, and he usually brings along a couple of his fishing buddies. This past weekend, Clint and I drove to the cabin to visit my dad while he was there. It's a 4 1/2 hour drive from where we live in Hamilton.
The weather has been hot for two weeks-upper 90s to 100+. I was hoping it might be cooler over there, but no such luck. I like to fly fish but I'd rather paint--so I brought my easel and oil painting supplies, planning on doing a plein air of the Gallatin River that flows by my dad's cabin. But I discovered that I had forgotten to bring a board/canvas to paint on!

Sunday afternoon the wind came up and the temperatures have dropped....we are now in a lovely state of 80 degrees for highs!
