Voting! and, free stuff!
I voted! Got my vote in for Obama, which is pretty much a foregone conclusion in MD, but gotta do it anyway. Can't be a passenger on this one. :)
I wish I had a chance to vote down something like the prop 8 in California or issue 2 in Florida, but alas, that's for the Californians and Floridians. In MD, we only have two big ballot questions up, early voting and legalization of slots (which we are cracktastically referring to as 'video lottery').
And, because I totally have my priorities straight about what's important today, here are my fave voter specials that I know of so far--
Starbucks -- free tall coffee
Krispy Kreme -- free sprinkle donut
Ben and Jerry's -- free scoop from 5-8 PM
Threadless.com -- $4 off any tee by midnight CST with coupon code "ivoted".
California Tortilla -- free taco coupon
Chick-Fil-A -- free chicken sandwich at participating locations (this is from dealnews, but I haven't found a list yet)
DealNews.com is keeping an updated list of teh free stuff, with more local stuff too.
It doesn't appear that anyone is giving out free workouts after the above deals, heh.
(It actually appears that in some states such as Georgia and Washington, requiring people to say they voted to get free stuff is illegal, so you guys can just go ask for the free stuff no strings attached.) Update -- some places are saying that's actually federal statute, so if you want free stuff, just go get it. ;)
