New Veterans Center for Tahlequah
To all Veterans, Families, and Friends,

Please consider this as a formal request for your help and assistance. Cherokee Nation is proposing that a new Veterans Center be built just east of the Veterans Memorial (east of the Complex) where the tennis courts are now. This will be a 7,700 square foot building. In the spirit of GA DU GI, the administration is asking that this be a Community project. What that means is, Veterans, their families, friends of Veterans, and anybody else who would like to show their support and gratitude for the service and sacrifices of Veterans of all eras, will be asked to help with construction. It will require approximately 26,000 volunteer hours to complete.
The areas which we need volunteers are:

Framing, painting, electrical, plumbing, roofing, site cleanup, flooring, finish and millwork, volunteer coordination, or if you can make coffee and sandwiches, we need you. I am always getting phone calls from people wanting to know how to show their support for our troops and Veterans. I can’t think of a better way, than to be a part of something that will be a lasting tribute to those who have given so much. When a deployed service person returns home, or when a Veteran needs help, you can say, “We have made a place for you”. We realize that not everybody can do construction work, but everyone can help in other ways. If you are willing to help us, please contact Todd Enlow at (918) 453-5644, or Rogan Noble at (918) 453 5695. We have volunteer applications which indicate what hours you would be available for Volunteer work, and what type of work you would be interested in providing. Remember, you don’t have to be a Veteran to volunteer. The volunteer application will be on line soon, but you can also apply in person, or we can send the applications through the mail. Thank you for your continuing support. Please feel to share this message with those not on this network.

Respectfully submitted,

Rogan Noble

Hello friends and family:

If anyone is interested in voluteering please contact Mr. Rogan Noble. He is a very nice man. They will not build this new veterans building if they can not get a commitment from 26,000 people. This is all volunteer and contractors are needed. Anyone with any building experience would be of great help.

And you do NOT have to be Native American for this. This building will be used for ALL veterans not just Native Veterans.

Please if you can help this would be a GREAT way of supporting and thanking the troops who have fought in not only the past wars, but the current wars going on today.

Thank you!
Carrie Moore

p.s. If you do not want to call Rogan you can just call me and I will get you a copy of the application. I have a few being sent to me. This could make for a nice day out. We could all get together on the same days or something.
It could be LOTS of fun!!! : D
