This entry is dedicated to all fallen heroes, in particular to River Jude Phoenix (nee Bottom), Jeffrey Scott Moorhead (nee Buckley), and Brandon Bruce Lee. I'll show tribute videos and clips from their best and most enduring works. While some may celebrate this holiday without thought, it is with a heavy heart that I cannot be freely and ( Read more... )

Really? Wow. And yes, if you saw him in The Life of Jimmy Reardon, very Elvis. He had great everything. Really. But I mean, in some of his younger pictures he ends up almost looking Hanson-ish. (Shudder to think! Blasphemous, I know.) But he did have really fantastic hair. And he was just so...naturally gifted. And beautiful in every way.

Yeah, it's a funny plot line to explain. No one ever wants to watch it after you describe it. Especially after you mention Keanu was in it. But the two were friends, so it's all cool. Some suggest the campfire scene, in which Rio rewrote the lines, was his real feelings toward Keanu. Dunno. They say that he was bi, but it doesn't make any difference to me. But it's a really good movie. When I went through my Keanu loving phase, I wanted to watch this movie and never did. It took a River loving phase to get into it.

There is something so magical about all of his music, to me. So much feeling, so much passion, so much range. The Chocolate Remix or however you say it, on MojoPin.org of Mojo Pin is otherworldly. I have trouble getting people to get into it, because it's not like typical music, with definitive, predictable choruses and shit,m but it's so much more than that. It makes me sad when they can't get it and feel it like I can. Hallelujah makes me cry. And then his dad's Song To The Siren does the same.

That's a sweet pic. Denny was also a huge loss. I mean, for so long he had been overshadowed. No one wanted to use his lyrics, his drumming was never good enough for the recordings, his voice was too gravely, whatever. But some of the stuff he did was amazing. Like Forever. That was heavy. And he was so beautiful, so...surfer dude and beautiful in that bohemian way. So sad.

Fantastic soundtrack and movie. Love it.

Oh, yeah, you showed me that thing. I've watched the vid a hundred times, but every time I have to pause it there and wish I was the bike. Or perhaps the burger. ;p

You dyed it again? What color this time?

You're very welcome. Thanks for responding and "getting it". I feared no one would.

He died on the sidewalk outside there. He walked out when he started to feel bad. Soon after leaving The Viper Room, he collapsed on the sidewalk and began seizing. So it was like right outside there.

Right back at you, sweetheart! ;)
