Well, my Short Forms in Performance class's [SHOW]. (yes, that's the ACTUAL title of our show -- what more can you expect from a group of art students?) went off without any major disasters. In fact, I was quite proud of how we pulled our Masons/Women's Issue/Art-School Bull-shit themed show together. And despite the fact that both nights houses an "intimate" audience, it would appear I simultaneously managed to piss off the chair of my department and wow my advisor and the head of screenwriting in my department. But I guess that's to be expected when you write and perform a sketch poking fun at the NYU suicides - well, more at NYU's love of money, but still (and I'm sure my pretty intense rant didn't help either, but that's another issue). Appropriately enough, the chair's response was "Well, I just hope there weren't any parents or people paying tuition in the audience". But at least some of the other faculty seemed to appreciate it, as did the students. My advisor wants to try and find a way to squeeze it into my Thesis.
Oh well. I enjoyed it. It was a great experience - but now I'm looking forward to getting at least one full night of sleep before starting on crazy SNL schedule next week plus you know, final semester projects and finals.
