I feel obligated to tell you all what's going on, though it's not much...
So I haven't updated in forever and an age. Mostly because my life follows a distinct and boring pattern. A few highlights...
- I am soon to be unemployed (again) which sucks because for once I actually enjoyed my job and the people I worked with. The company is restructuring, which is a corporate buzz word that means firing admin so that they can keep paying CEO's their enormous salaries. However, because people keep quitting like rats jumping off a sinking ship, I am currently doing at least three jobs, and until they hire permanent replacements I'm okay.
- I went to TN and it was fabulous. Better than that I was me again. Something about southern accents, mountains, and Hollins girls makes me feel like breathing is easier. We did nothing major and important. We went to Gatlinburg which is adorable. There were dancing naked girls and Jesus there. We saw Harry Popo, we did an enormous amount of shopping, we scared an IHOP waitress, we ate birthday cake and scared Tara's cat. It was amazing.
- That segues into a major life decision. I have somehow convinced Tara that I would make a passable roommate as long as I get my own bathroom so I will, hopefully, being moving to Nashville in the near future. This is scary but in a good way. I need to stop mooching off my family, I miss my friends, I miss being on my own, and I hate living in L.A. I hate that it's still 70 degrees and therefore doesn't feel like Christmas. I hate the traffic and the smog, and the fact I have to drive 45 minutes to get to a Walmart. I am very very excited at the prospect of moving but am overwhelmed by all the things that need to happen in order for it to actually happen. Pray for me.
That's all. Life goes on. Everyone is in fairly good health, even though my grandma gets crazier by the day. (the other morning I went to the gym and when mom got up grandma told her that I had gotten up at the crack of dawn to go to the zoo) I miss you all so much. If you want to hear a crazy idea ask about my plan to rent a cabin on the lake before reunion.
