(no subject)
Summer has officially begun...well not officially but after Memorial Day, it technically does. Memorial Day was a gorgeous beach weekend! I actually made it to the beach for the first time this year :)
I started my job at Beach Babies. So far, so good...I am in the all day kindergarten room (5 year olds) but of course when I have them in the afternoons, it's just playtime because school is done for the day. They can be a handful and crazy, and sometimes very annoying but they can also be fun and entertaining. I can't beat the hours and the pay is decent so I'm not complaining. I am always exhausted though...but it should be fun. Next week, I am finally scheduled a few more hours which is nice but right now I'm enjoying the extra time off. I've also been babysitting some of the time to pick up some extra money and help my neighbor out. The baby is so good, so I can't complain there either.
Last week Candice came down to visit me so that was fun. We went out to dinner at Rusty Rudder. I had the best strawberry daquiri of my life! lol (it really was though!) Then we made some stops because we did know what we wanted to do lol but we ended up going to the Blue Moon (gay bar in Rehoboth) and had a drink with my brother and my godsister, Megan. It was a good time. Unfortunately we didn't make it to the beach the next morning because I felt like pooh and it looked like rain btu we had a yummy breakfast. Then this past weekend, Kev came to visit! It was fun cuz I hadn't seen him in about 3 weeks. We went to the boardwalk and walked around, got Thrasher's and played games. Then we went to dinner at Outback. That was yum. We made a Walmart trip to kill some time and then went to Friday's for dessert lol. OMG, the dessert was amazing but I was ready to explode cuz I was so full. Then we came back here and watched The Family Stone -- really cute movie and funny too. So we had a good time and it was great seeing him, finally. I probably won't get to see him for another 3 weeks or so... :( but this summer will definitely be better (and easier) as far as relationships and everything else than last summer!
Overall, I'm happy, should be a good summer! I'm taking the praxis 2 in Dover on Saturday, I heard it was easy from a reliable source but wish me luck!! And Emily is coming to visit at the beach after the test!! :D She just turned 21 so we will celebrate!
