Well, I've kept my promise to my dearest wife, and I'm proud to say that I am currently relaxing in our newly-completed garden. Flower beds, a vegetable patch, a small pond, a young fruit tree, even a very comfortable hammock. I must say, I'm quite proud of my work. I cannot wait until everything starts to bloom and bud, I'm very certain our little slice of suburban yard will be perhaps the most colourful one on the entire street. Already some of the tulips and other bulb plants are beginning to grow, and with Aeris' loving care and great skill, they'll continue to grow rapidly.
However, there's something that I'm not very happy about. There is a rather large hornet's nest in our attic that I did not see previously, as they had been mostly dormant for the winter months. However, as the days are warming up, they are becoming more active. I know it sounds cowardly of me, but I am dead terrified of hornets, and I just can't bring myself to go up there and dispose of them. If anyone would like to step in and help, that would be very much appreciated, and I will repay you somehow.
Hook auditions are next week, along with one of my midterms, and a seven page paper on the role of the parents in child development. While it will be a rather busy week, I'm quite looking forward to it, solely for Hook. I know no matter what role I end up having, I'll enjoy it nonetheless. Who else is trying out for this play? I've heard we've had quite a lot of interest in this play from students of the university, I'm just curious to see how many.
