Never Forget

Another year has gone by, bringing the total to five since this country came under attack. Some people thought that democracy is wrong and not everybody should have rights and tried to make a point by attacking the greatest and most powerful country in the world. Well they succeeded in taking thousands of lives, but failed miserably in trying to end our way of life. America has recovered from the attacks and is stronger than ever. For the first time in many years Americans from all different races and nationalities were able to come together and honestly say “United We Stand.” The attacks failed because Americans came to the aid of one another and saw that regardless of economic standing, sex, race, or nationality, we were all in this together and by doing so didn’t let the differences stand in the way of rebuilding the nation.
It is important to remember the lives of all who died on that September morning. From the innocent civilians, to the firefighters, police, and EMS, and even normal people who reacted to the situation in ways that made them extraordinary people, let us not forget their sacrifices they made to help another fellow American. Currently men and woman of the United States Armed Forces are stationed throughout the world doing their job to protect America. Thousands have paid the ultimate price fighting oppressive regimes in Afghanistan and Iraq and so it is important to stand behind the military so they did not die in vein.
God Bless America, the greatest country in the world.
