Didn't know what to do, but the discussion up there in the question thread made me think of cupcakes. Can't actually bake any because we have no oven (and while I love baking them I am not much for eating them and neither is dance_the_dance, so...) but since we have a Pinkie Pie action figure I got the idea of making a cupcake / cake for the action figures. For that, I made a really small pancake and put it in a bottle lid. Then I put some frosting and some decoration on it, which was really fun, even though it was harder than I anticipated, because the frosting wouldn't stay the way I wanted it to be, I think I put too little powdered sugar, and I obviously made the mistake I always make of putting the frosting on the still warm (pan)cake, LOL. But well, it turned out okay after a little stint in the fridge.
I then arranged Janeway, Seven (who is basically incapable of sitting, seriously, what?), Deanna and Pinkie Pie around the cake that they really loved sharing, even though Deanna was pouty that there was no chocolate in it.
It's been a while since I picked up any of my jewelry making things (which is not unusual), so these turned out rather interesting. I ended up getting a touch carried away here - the necklace on the left is Loki-inspired, and I basically just dug through my gold and green beads and put them at various lengths, then used some of the extra chain I had to add some contrast. The earrings on the right were inspired by Captain America, though a pastel version since I used things I already had in my boxes of beads and the red and dark blue beads I have didn't really work since the red ones had bronze stuff on them like some of the green ones did and they did NOT work with the silver in the least, so I had to make some adjustments.
These are awesome! The left fits so good with all the silver and bronze and I think I like the one of the right especially because of the pastel (I guessed that it was Captain America before I read it, so it definitely works :D).

This little Hermione is my Xmas present for my niece - I've been making her toys since her first birthday.
The doll is crocheted from a pattern in My Crotchet Doll by Isabelle Kessedjian, which tells you how to make the doll and then various different outfits.
This particular outfit is made from the school pinafore design with an adapted white shirt and tie, and the Hogwarts cloak is adapted from the coat pattern. After I had made the doll and realised that I had inadvertently given her my mad hair, I decided I had to make her some Gryffindor robes, because with hair like that there was really only one person she could be! She also has a school dress that is similar to my niece's school uniform, brown and white checks, jeans and t-shirts, pyjamas, a teddy bear, and a little red riding hood outfit.
I've never really been a doll person, but I have to be honest, actually giving this one away will be hard!
OK, so I automatically thought to make omurice because I first discovered it (and subsequently researched it, learned how to make it, and then incorporated it into my regular repertoire) because of the manga Skip Beat
Chapter 168 is all about the monstrosity of omurice that one of the character's makes for himself as a challenge he has to overcome...it makes (some) sense in context. Sorta. Well, it does eventually XD
I'm hiding my picture under a cut because it's the ugliest omurice I've made in the last 2 years since first learning to make it. I blame the new stove. I am still not used to cooking on electric (I've only ever had a gas stove no matter where I lived) and this was my first omurice since moving.
