10 Favorite Character drabbles (in no particular order)
[Spoilers for Legends of Tomorrow, Captain America: Civil War, and the S4 midseason finale of Once Upon A Time]
Leonard Snart (Legends of Tomorrow)

It wasn’t that he wanted to go out as a hero - really, it wasn’t.  Exactly the opposite, in fact.  There were still so many things he wanted to do, so many heists to pull off.  And then there was me and you.

There was no chance in hell he was going to let Mick do this.  He’d already thrown his best friend under the bus once and that ate at him.  This wasn’t an altruistic decision - Leonard didn’t have an altruistic bone in his body (or at least not that he would admit).  It was a final middle finger to the Time Masters.  The hell anyone got to put strings on him.

Clint Barton (MCU)

As far as he was concerned, he had made his choice.  He had tried to get around it by saying he was retired, but he knew it wouldn’t work.

He knew that Stark and Cap would go at each other’s throats over the Accords.  He knew what it was going to mean for the team.

The only thing that made it easy to choose sides was Natasha and knowing that what they were doing was a show to try to minimize the damage.  They both knew that otherwise the team would tear itself to shreds and that was the last thing either of them wanted.

Natasha Romanoff (MCU)

It killed her a little, knowing that the family that she had built with the Avengers was splintering before her very eyes.  She would do anything to keep that family together, but she knew that nothing was going to be enough.

She knew if she let Steve and Bucky go that Tony would come after her.  T’Challa would want her put away with Clint and Wanda and Sam unless she was mistaken.  She knew that had to be coming.  But she also knew that Steve would not let his friends rot in prison when their only sin was to throw their lot in with him.

Killian Jones (Once Upon A Time)

It was an easy choice, but it was impossible.  He hated this - all of it.  He hated seeing Emma lose herself to darkness and he hated that he had become the very thing he despised most.

This was not what he wanted, but it was necessary.  He would rather give his life to see that the woman he loved was free than let the person she was die a slow, agonizing death under the weight of the mantle of the Dark One.  The last thing he wants is to leave her alone, but he would rather Emma got to be herself.  Even if it hurt.

Morgana le Fay (Merlin)

The world spun around her, music floating in the air.  All eyes were on her and she felt so alive in the red and gold dress.

The music ended and her partner bowed to her, then disappeared into the crowd.  She caught sight of Gwen standing in the wings and shot her a smile.  If not for the fact that Uther would be displeased, she might have considered inviting her friend to dance and convincing Merlin to dance with her.  She was certain that the two servants would have had a grand time.

They might have even had a better time than she was having - but that was bound to end any second if Arthur making his way over to her was any indication.

[Spoilers for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, S2 o iZombie, and the series finale of White Collar]
Galen Marek/Starkiller (Star Wars: The Force Unleashed)

He took a deep breath, centering himself before he let himself fall.  He let the light wash through him and wash away the traces of the darkness that remained.  For a moment, hope suffused him and he could forget that this was a suicide mission.  Vader and the Emperor were too strong for him to take out on his own.

For the first time in his life, he was completely at peace with his fate.  Whatever happened, he had to save the Rebellion he had started - and he had to make sure that Juno and Kota were safe.  Whatever happened.

The galaxy needed the hope the Rebellion would provide.

Poe Dameron (Star Wars: The Force Awakens)

This was going to blow up in his face.  The moment the First Order appeared on the horizon, he knew the chances of him getting away were slim.  If he was lucky, BB-8 would get away and find a way back to the Resistance if he wasn’t able to come back.

The moment the blaster bolt froze in the air, he knew that he was caught.  But there was hope - there was always hope.  He would find a way out and he would find a way home - and he would find BB-8 and retrieve that map to Luke Skywalker.  The Resistance needed that hope.

Corran Horn (Star Wars Expanded Universe)

He touched the Jedi credit hanging around his neck for luck and forced himself into a state of calm.  There were Yuuzhan Vong warriors everywhere and there were more gathering at any moment.  The hissing of the amphistaffs was getting louder and louder with every passing second.

He ignited his lightsaber and he could see other blades igniting out of the corner of his eye.

If he and the Rogues had helped take Coruscant and brought down the shields almost singlehandedly, the impossible horde before them could be defeated.  Doing the impossible was what the Rogues were good at - and once a Rogue, always a Rogue.

Ravi Chakrabarti (iZombie)

Major was going to kill him.  That was the only thought that crossed Ravi’s mind after the tranquilizers kicked in.  Major was going to kill him - and so was Liv.

Major was a zombie again.  This was not good news.  That meant they were on a timer.  First his cure had apparently succeeded, but taken Blaine’s memory in the process.

Liv was going to kill him.  Oh, lord, she was going to kill him for making Major regress.

Panic gripped him.  This was the last thing they needed.

He needed tea if he was going to think.  He might be a doctor, but this was not what he bargained for when he went to medical school.

Neal Caffrey (White Collar)

Every passing day in Paris was lonelier.  He had a new life and it was a good life - he had new friends, a good job, and a nice apartment. He had everything he could want, but it was not the same as seeing Peter and Mozzie every day and seeing Jones, Diana, and El multiple times a week.  Even when he was in jail, Peter had been a part of his life.  Every year he had sent Peter something for his birthday - and then he’d seen Peter almost every day.

Now, he had lunch dates and consultations and his time was filled with whatever it was that a security consultant did.  It was a good life.

But it wasn’t the same as working for the FBI.
