- What was the last book you read?
Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the Word by Haruki Murakami

- Of your favourite books, which one do you like to recommend to people?
American Gods by Neil Gaiman, maybe? Usually which one I recommend depends on the kind of books the person likes.

- Which ones do you NOT like to recommend to people?
Any popular series that everyone is pretty much guaranteed to already know about!

- Do you still own any books from your childhood?
I have about a thousand bags in the basement filled with old books. I don't usually reread them, though.

- What are you reading now?
I'm about to start Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. This is my first time reading the Harry Potter series!

- Have you seen any recent movies that were books?
No. I haven't seen any recent movies at all for awhile now, actually.

- If you hosted book club, what would you serve?
Cookies or other types of snacks!

I loved it! It was one that I'd been meaning to read for a very long time. Have you read the The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle by him too?

Yes, I pretty much read all of his stuff. My fav is A Wild Sheep Chase & Dance, Dance, Dance. Which is controvesial as I think they are the least popular of his books. LOL. I read Norwegian Wood and I liked it but it just didn't grab me. I prefer it when he writes sci-fi.

Wind-Up Bird was one I had recommended a lot to me beside Hard-Boiled. I'll check out these ones too!

A Wild SHeep Chase is a weird hybrid of Sci-fi and horror. At least there were parts of it i found creepy and had to keep reading as I didn't want to put out the light. Heh.

I really like 1Q84, Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World, and Norwegian Wood, though I'll admit that I didn't entirely get 1Q84 the first time I read it and I had to come back to it again later.

Hard-Boiled Wonderland is the first one I've read from him, so I'll have to check out those ones too!

Norwegian Wood didn't do it for me. I know everyone loves it but it is probably my least fav of his books, behind Sputnik Sweetheart.

I have to admit to having to read Wind Up Bird twice. If you don't give him your full concentration you miss so much.

Have you read his book about the sarin gas attacks on the subway, Underground?

I haven't actually read any of the three you mention here, though I did just get Underground, because that one sounds so up my alley. Good?
