What was the last book you read?
I just finished The Princes of Ireland by Edward Rutherfurd

Of your favourite books, which one do you like to recommend to people?
I like to Readers Advisory interviews and then go from there because what I like to read isn't necessarily what someone else will like and so if they like a favorite book of mine or I think they might, great! But I know there are people out there who won't so I tend not to try to force books upon people.
Of course there are books that I try to push ;)
Without You by Anthony Rapp
Magic Hour by Kristin Hannah
The Violets of March and The Bungalow by Sarah Jio
Broadway Nights by Seth Rudetsky
Stiff by Mary Roach
The Expected One by Kathleen McGowan
Bridge of Scarlet Leaves by Kristina McMorris
A Long Fatal Love Chase by Louisa May Alcott
The Inheritance by Louisa May Alcott
The Circus Fire by Stewert O'Nan

Which ones do you NOT like to recommend to people?
I refuse to recommend popular books because 90% of them, I think are over rated (coughthefaultinourstarscough). Not to mention they tend to have HUGE wait lists at the libraries so if I can get other books that are a similar vein I will. I will also not recommend Twilight or 50 Shades of Grey because I think they're absolute trash.

Do you still own any books from your childhood?
Yep! A lot of them actually. Because I want to give them to my children.

What are you reading now?
the Lullaby of Polish Girls by Dagmara Dominczyk and The Tainted Relic by The Medieval Murderers

Have you seen any recent movies that were books?
The Book Thief. Considering how challenging the book is to read, they did an excellent job with the movie. It was really well done and I was pleasantly surprised.

If you hosted book club, what would you serve?
water... I'm not a fan of eating around books.

If you're truly curious, I run a readers' advisory blog called Get Lost in the Stacks: http://getlostinthestacks.tumblr.com/

Well true, but it's not that popular. Especially her other books. Gulp has actually gotten more press than Stiff did.

I wasn't saying anything about how popular or not popular her or any of her books are. I was just saying, you know, YAY I like that book too.

oh gotcha! Have you read Bonk? I kind of think that's her best one...

I've read Stiff, Bonk, and... the one about the afterlife... Spook?

Of those three, I definitely liked Bonk best. There are at least two other books, aren't there? *can't remember*

Apparently, Six Feet Over and Spook are the same book. I Googled the other books to see if I'd be interested in them. Gulp looks like a book I'd be really interested in, even if I didn't like Mary Roach as a writer. I'm definitely going to check that out.

Followed your blog :D The read-a-thon sounds like fun. I'll have to see if I can do it. My eyes get pretty bad, and it stops me from reading OFTEN.

yea! Thank you!

Have you tried audio books? I love Audiobooks as well. Highly recommend Seth Rudetsky's Broadway Nights as an audiobook because Seth (who's a Broadway bigwig) gets famous friends to read for different parts.

Laughing at not eating around books! If I recall correctly, my sisters and I had a high number of incidents of books being dropped in the soup bowl when we were younger.

Oh I eat around my own books but anybody else's, it's a big no no for me. I've seen what bugs/mold can do to books/materials.

Without You by Anthony Rapp

So much yes. Though I learned the hard way that as easily I as cry, it's not a book to read on the subway.

Totally agree on Twilight and 50 Shades. Whenever someone starts talking about 50 Shades, I try to recommend actually good erotica to them. Because there is good stuff out there, it is just that 50 Shades is crap.
