Have you read any/all the HP books? Yes.
Do you have a favourite book? I love the first four books equally, and am less thrilled with the later ones but I can't really say I have a favourite.
Who are your favourite characters? The Malfoys, Snape (even though he is a total ass in canon), Luna Lovegood,
Which Characters do you not enjoy, but think are interesting anyway? I really can't stand Dumbledore. He manipulated people for his vision of the greater good allthewhile saying he cared. Also Marge and the Dursleys are a waste of space as is Fletcher and I wasn't to thrilled with Remus toward the end there either.
Do you have a favourite scene? I will always love the first scene at the zoo when Harry talks to the snake and lets it lose.
Anything else you wanna ramble about? There is so many of the characters that were left unexplored, things done that were not fully explained so I have a tendency to enjoy the fics over the books these days. (Mostly because the though of Harry dating/marring a girl who looks so much like him mum ( ... )

The first four books do have a vastly different tone from the later three. I think that's mostly because Harry's still a kid and Rowling couldn't write that much dark scary stuff.

OMG, the snake! Nearly forgot that one :P

The later three really had me wtfing all over the place. I especially couldn't stand all the 'golden trio' stuff when the all left Harry ALONE on Dumbledore's orders. That just really turned me off right from the start. Honestly, I'd already been hating on Ron since GoF, but Hermione couldn't write a letter? I mean she's a muggle born, it should have been her first thought.

The last three books were quite crazy. And very different from what we were used to with Harry Potter. And yeah, Hermione? You're smart. Use your smarts.

The first books are much funnier imo. I do like the darker stuff too but too many great characters died later on and I really missed the tone of the first books, especially books 1 and 2!

I agree, I do like my stuff dark too but I really hated how things never ever got better for Harry. By the time I read GoF I fully expected him to die at the end of the series, which he did, granted I know he came back but it just felt that literally every thing was about turning him in to a martyr for the good of the wizarding world. Yes, there was a prophecy but how hard would it have been for the adults to get off their bums and be proactive? (Maybe some of this is the mum in me who wanted to go kick everyone's asses, kidnap Harry and give him a decent life.)

While I usually consider Remus among my favorite characters, I have to agree with you toward the end of the series. I just generally wasn't thrilled with that storyline, either though.

I actually loved Remus at first, but then I started to ask questions about where he was when Harry first entered the Wizarding world, why he didn't stop the others from being bullies when he was a prefect or why he he was involved with Tonks but didn't use protection. I mean if he didn't want kids bag it, spell it, potion it whatever. Also I honestly I though he and Sirius were a couple and tbh I slash them shamelessly. I love the idea of him though, so I tend to favor fanon Remus over canon Remus.

Yeah, I have thought through many of these issues before. A lot of what happened at school and during/immediately after the first war I can understand but I've never been able to rationalize a lot of what happened with his relationship with Tonks.

I've kind of gotten to the point that I question if JK Rowling decided to sacrifice character for plot with her being so set on this happy orphan concept.

Leaving things unexplored is probably why there is such a large fic-writing fandom for this series. Part of me is interested because of that (shows like Stargate that leave a lot open tend to have a rich fandom) and part of me really doesn't want to get sucked into another fandom.

The scene with the snake at the zoo was just fab! I agree with you there! :)

It's so nice to see people who don't like Dumbledore too. I totally agree!

Luna is my love in the series! She doesn't quite fit in, but people like her. She's wonderful!

I have never thought of there being a resemblance between Lily and Ginny. That explains why I always had a problem with Harry dating/marrying Ginny! I could never figure out why I didn't like them together.
