Have you read any/all the HP books? All of them, most of them multiple times.
Do you have a favourite book? Prisoner of Azkaban, mainly because I adore Remus and Sirius, and I loved learning about the Patronus Charm. It still always gets me in the feels when I think about Harry's being a stag to represent his father <3 Order of the Phoenix is a close second, though, mainly because I absolutely adore Umbridge as a villain. I never really got on board with Voldemort, to be honest. He just didn't feel real. But Umbridge? I've met people like her, and they're terrifying. She was the best antagonist of the series for me, and she made the book awesome.
Who are your favourite characters? Severus Snape, Luna Lovegood, Hermione Granger, Minerva McGonagall, and Dolores Umbridge.
Which Characters do you not enjoy, but think are interesting anyway? I really dislike Albus Dumbledore, but I find him an interesting character study. He's a good example of people who "sacrifice" for the "greater good" but end up doing more harm than good in the end.
Do you have a favourite scene? So many of them! But I guess my favorite sequence will always been in the first book when the Trio solve all the puzzles to get to the Sorcerer's Stone. It was just a brilliant example of teamwork and really showed off why they need one another. None of them could have done that alone.
Anything else you wanna ramble about? It still astounds me that I almost didn't read these XD I was sooo resistant because they were so popular, and I the more people tried to push me to read them, the more I pushed back. But finally one of my friends just bought me the first book for Christmas, and I read it more out of guilt than anything else, since she spent money on it, and the rest is history.

Ooh, I sort of blanked on prisoner of Azkaban while writing mine :P And OMGYES, Sirius and Remus! Love those two together.

Umbridge, omg. I knew a teacher who was a bit like her. Totally agreed, scary as hell.

I totally agree that Umbridge is scarier than Voldemort. There's something terrifying about how realistically awful she was to Harry and the others. I love when things in the fantasy/supernatural genre use things that happen in our real lives to kind of ground the drama.

I think this is partially why I haven't read them. Also, it just seems like such an investment now and I have so many other things I want to read.
I do realize that it's a very small percentage of people who've read them and disliked them, so...

Agreed on Dumbledore - I think he can be annoying at times and thinks that he is always right but at the same time he is like a grandfather in his own way

I agree with you on Dumbledore.

Umbridge was a great antagonist! I, too, have known people like her. I've worked with a person like her, and it is totally terrifying. I don't like her much, probably because of the reasons I stated. But she is fascinating.
