[Series] Card Captor Sakura
[Character] Kinomoto Sakura
[Description] Sakura looks to be just about your regular 11 year old girl, though many people - both adults and peers alike - have been known to describe her as "cute". Her short stature and tendency to smile at practically everyone and everything only adds to this image that people have of her. She has light brown hair that's cut short and usually worn in pigtails of sorts and green eyes that she inherited from her deceased mother.

Sakura usually wears normal, everyday clothes common for children her age, including (but not limited to) cute dresses, sporting attire, school uniforms, and the like. However, the fact that her best friend Tomoyo loves to design and make fanciful and sometimes over the top costumes for her also means that she can sometimes be found creeping around at night in said costumes, usually in search of whatever magical disturbance she has to deal with at that moment.

[Personality] Sakura is just the kind of girl that's easy to love. Cheerful, sweet and upbeat, it's no wonder that Sakura makes friends with almost everyone she comes into contact with. With her infectious smiles, caring personality and innocent nature, she somehow worms her way into even the toughest of hearts given enough time. She's also incredibly loyal to the people she cares about and can never stand seeing someone feeling down, going out of her way to try and cheer them up if possible, which usually tends to endear her to the people around her.

Growing up without a mother doesn't seem to have overly affected Sakura, though that isn't to say that she doesn't miss her mom. She's actually very responsible for her age, adept at keeping house, doing chores, and even cooking meals on her own, for all that she's only 11 years old. Her father and older brother both know this, and trust her to be able to take care of herself whenever they're out working late, though Touya still worries about his baby sister even if he'd never admit it.

In the past year since she first discovered the Clow Cards in her father's office, Sakura's grown a lot, both magically and emotionally. After overcoming a lot of obstacles to reach where she is now with the help of her friends, she has more confidence in herself and is more mature, though she's still very naive and innocent in many ways, especially when it comes to things like romance.

Still, Sakura is ever the optimist, and she never lets anything keep her down for very long - not math homework, boy troubles, or even the magical (mis)adventures she usually finds herself in. All she has to do is believe in her friends and her abilities, remember her Invincible Spell - that "everything will definitely be all right" - and do her best.

And in the end, things usually do, indeed, turn out for the better.

[Canon] Sakura is the protagonist and title character of the series, which chronicles her adventures as she first captures the Clow Cards left behind by the sorcerer Clow Reed, then transforms them into Sakura Cards using her own brand of magic.

Sakura has a deep impact in the series, if only because she was the one chosen and forseen by Clow Reed to be his successor decades before she was even alive. Many of the events that happen in the second part of the series were all orchestrated by Clow's reincarnation, Eriol Hiiragizawa, so that Sakura would have the chance to change the Cards to Sakura Cards in a controlled (not that she knew it at the time) environment. Despite this though, she usually manages to surprise Eriol with her strength, determination and ingenuity.

She was the one who released the Cards and was tasked to collect and keep them all, steadily growing in power as she caught them one at a time. By the time she finished, she can be considered to be the most powerful sorcerer (or perhaps sorceress?) in the world, even at the tender age of 11. Besides this, she was able to gain the loyalty of all of her Cards and her Guardians though her kindness and, even that of the prickly Yue, who was at first reluctant to acknowledge her as his new mistress due to his love for Clow and his bitterness over his death.

The series also chronicles just how Sakura is able to form bonds with and affect the people (and Cards and Guardians - see Yue) she comes into contact with. She's shown making friends and helping people with their problems both by the use of magic and by her own endearing personality, whether she's aware of it or not. She is even able to heal a rift between her father and her mother's family who blamed Fujitaka for Nadeshiko's death, simply by revealing that Nadeshiko had been happiest by her husband's side.

[Timeline] After Eriol's explanation of things after Sakura turns all the Clow Cards to Sakura Cards.

[RP Sample] At first, it seemed like just another morning to Sakura when she woke up. She sat up, rubbed the sleep from her eyes, and wondered what was going on, her sleepy mind still not quite done catching up with the recent events.

Perhaps the thing that really made it very clear that something weird was going on was the lack of Kero-chan trying vainly to wake her up, a very loud counterpoint to her alarm clock ringing shrilly in the background as it did most mornings.

...Kero-chan?

Oh, that was right. Hadn't he been arguing with someone last time she'd seen him? With... with Suppi-chan, over in...

Wait. There was something there.

Blinking blearily, Sakura paused, frowning, her mind still a little fuzzy from having just woken up. She was going over yesterday's events in her head again, trying to find out what was so off, when awareness slammed into her suddenly, and caused her to jolt fully awake at last.

This, unfortunately, had the added effect of causing to topple off the seat with an undignified yelp. Bemoaning her luck, she noted, with a growing sense of dread, that she was very notably not in her room at home.

For one thing, this place was moving.

Dragging herself back up and off the floor, she grumbled under her breath, catching her balance by placing a hand on the wall, before glancing around the small space with not a little confusion and apprehension. Hadn't she just been in Eriol-kun's mansion, having tea with the others while the enigmatic boy explained everything that had happened in the last few months to her and her friends? How on earth did she end up here?

Her brow still scrunched up in a frown, she looked around once more, trying to find anything that would be useful in helping her to solve this mystery. In her perusal, she noted that this place, this train she seemed to be on was slowing down and that there waas a window. After a brief moment's hesitation, she squared her shoulders and marched on over to it, determined to find some answers, peering cautiously out, taking in the sights of an unfamiliar city.

She shivered, feeling a little frightened, but she tamped down on her fear. She'd survived all sorts of magical mishaps before, after all - she was sure that she'd be able to weather out whatever was thrown at her at this point. All she had to do was believe that everything would be all right, and she just knew that it would turn out so.

...Right?

[I have read and understand the rules?] Yes indeed~ /o/
