Yugi had been there during the graduation. Although he could hardly wait for the plans he had made. It wasn't anything to fancy, but he hoped it would woo her and make her even more happy to be with him.
He hadn't dressed up very well, he hadn't even realized he owned barely anything for the occasion. A simply button up shirt, and dress pants. His hair was a bit neater, tied back instead of up in its crown defying spikes. He noticed the bathroom door closed and knocked on the door. "Mana?"
A knock on the door? Oh, Gods, was she late again? She checked her hair in the mirror once more, picked up her heels, and opened the bathroom door to reveal Yuugi. She instantly blushed, her eyes full of wonder as she took in his form.
She'd never seen his hair like that before and she couldn't help but smile at seeing it now. "Y-Yuugi, you look so nice!" Her blush intensified because she did like the way Yuugi looked right now very much. She moved out of the bathroom and too his side, beaming up at him. "I'm so excited!"
"You look very nice as well." That was an understatement, she looked amazing. "I hope you like this place, its not really fancy but...it is something. It's got lots of food from around the world. Even some Egyptian things." He smiled as they went out the door, he took her hand and lead her down the street. "I thought maybe you would like that. Instead of having to cook it yourself for once you would be able to enjoy it."
Mana was all smiles and giggles as they left. Her shoes weren't very tall so she was still under Yuugi's height. She held onto his hand tightly and grinned over at him, her eyes sparkling at the idea of Egyptian food. "Really?! Oh, Yuugi, thank you!!"
She kept a firm hold on Yuugi's hand, a sense of pride swelling up inside of her as they walked down the street. As long as they held hands like this, everyone would know that they were together and it was something that Mana truly wanted to flaunt. "How far down is the restaurant?" She asked as she reached up to tuck a wayward curl behind her ear. Yuugi had said she looked pretty so she believed him. At least now she did.
"You won't even give me a little hint?" She asked, brushing a piece of her curled hair out of her face. It was considerably shorter now since Pharaoh-sama had taken her to the spa and she had made a spur-of-the-moment decision to chop off a good two or three inches of length. It sat in the middle of her neck now, halfway between her jaw and shoulder.
"I'm sure I'll love it, Yuugi. Thank you so much for taking me out. I'm already having a lot of fun. What about you?"
"Well I enjoy walking with you, but I'm starving!" He sighed slightly, leaning against her as if he were weak. "I don't know if I'll be able to make it Mana...Do you think you can carry me?" He smiled a bit, the closeness between them warming his body as they stopped at teh bus stop.
Mana giggled, looking over at Yuugi. "Hehe, Yuugi, don't you'll make me fa-!" Apparently she hadn't been paying attention to the sidewalk as they moved along and being unfocused in the heels that Mana was wearing was just praying for an accident. She caught the heel in a crack on the sidewalk and tripped, grabbing on to Yuugi's arm to try and keep herself from falling over. "WAH!"
Yuugi quickly regained his footing but not before falling to his knees and grabbing MAna. "Maybe you should wear regular shoes?" He smiled gently, helping her up and taking his hand in hers again. The bus should arrive shortly.
"You got really dressed up, you know you look alot prettier in your regular skirts and that one thing you wear to sleep. Baggy stuff is really ciute on you." He smiled
Mana steadied herself on the street, brushing her skirt out. She blushed in embarrassment and adjusted her hair (which he still hadn't noticed was shorter). "Thanks, Yuugi. I'm so clumsy sometimes."
She frowned a little, though, and looked down. "You don't like it? I dressed up for our date tonight because it's special to me..." She thought she'd looked adorable earlier (and judging by how he reacted when he first saw her, so had he), so this sudden comment confused and hurt her slightly.
Yugi smiled, wrapping a hand around her middle and pulling her close to him as they waited. "It's alright, I wouldn't be able to walk in those either!"
He wouldn't notice the hair, because he wasn't THAT observent. But it did look nice and he wouldn't deny that. "Of course I like, it. I'm just saying...you don't have to dress up for me. I look beautiful no matter what your in." A warm smile spread across his face.
She looked over at him and nodded a bit. She pushed a curl back behind her ear, shivering from the wind hitting the back of her neck. It was odd that she didn't have hair to cover the lower portion of her neck. "You haven't said anything about my hair, Yuugi. I cut it recently..."
She nodded again to him, leaning against him as they waited. "But I like dressing up and looking pretty for you. I think it's nice and I finally have an excuse to do that now."
"Eh-" Yuugi cranked his head a bit to look at her. "Ah! I didn't even notice! It looks nice." He smiled.
"Well whatever makes you happy, you look extremely beautiful all gussied up." He kissed her on the forehead and squeezed his hand around her waist gently.
The bus came up, Yuugi leading Mana into a seat and sitting next to her.
Mana smiled over at Yuugi, her eyes brightening up a little. "Really? You think so? I thought it was cute too! I think Pharaoh-sama is still getting used to it...I'm not sure he likes it very much. He's been saying that it makes me look more grown up and that he can't cuddle me like a little girl anymore, but I told him he still could."
She smiled over at him more, sitting down between him and the window. "Your mom bought me this dress and I haven't been able to wear it anywhere. I don't like black very much but she seemed to think it would look pretty on me so I decided to wear it tonight."
Yuugi smiled. "I like it, It's nice to not feel like the little one! You look very mature."
As the bus drove on Yuugi stared out the window, it wasn't completly dark outside, just the the middle of a sunset. The sun filtering in through the window on the bus shining against Manas face...she really was pretty. He was so distracted looking at her he didn't even notice his face flushing.
Mana smiled, nodding to him again. "Thank you! I really like it." She looked out at the streets as they whirled by, a contented smile playing on her lips as she held Yuugi's hand in her own.
As she turned her head to ask him something something which she'd almost already forgotten, she stopped and blinked at him with confusion. A small blush popped up on her cheeks. "Y-yuugi, are you ok? You look a little...flustered."
