Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is he heavyset, thin, short, rangy?
His official art is here - he's definitely slim in comparison to his height, though given his age he's on the short side compared to most people. He's short compared to people his age, too, though not by much.
2. How old is he?
Between 11 and 12.
3. Describe his posture. Does he carry himself well or does he slouch?
He tends to slouch a bit, especially with his backpack full of way, way too many cards. They can get heavy, you know.
4. How is his health? Is he fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?
He isn't terribly out of shape, but he isn't strong and doesn't have the stamina that Pokémon trainers would. He's journeyed around his island, but it isn't that large. He is somewhat nearsighted, though he wouldn't admit it and has never been to an eye doctor to be diagnosed.
5. How does he move? Is he clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?
He's not exactly clumsy, but he definitely isn't graceful. He moves to move. However, his actions in card duels are a different story - he plays with a bit of style, since he's proud of his abilities.

He... doesn't think about how he looks. At all.

Definitely casual. He tends to wear bright reds and blues.

They fit reasonably well, and they certainly are comfortable.

He doesn't really have a job.

Speech

His vocabulary is slangy, but other than that he's pretty typical.

Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is he book-smart or street-smart?
He's not particularly intelligent, since he doesn't care enough about most things to learn about them. He's very skilled at the cards, and somewhat enjoys math, though he's barely started on division.

He thinks on his feet, mostly, especially when it comes to duels. While it might take him a bit to accept something that doesn't fit with what he knows, he doesn't often consciously mull over things.

His one area of expertise are Pokémon cards, and the only thing he wants to learn is more about them.

Not very good. His father was always away for his job, and his mother didn't approve of his love of cards. That's why they're never seen in-game - he doesn't want to be around them.

Not really.

Not part of his family, no.

Ronald! They met during school one day, being the only two kids who didn't go to play... whatever ball game they were doing at recess.

He's recently become friends with Rod, Courtney, and Steve, three of the four Grandmasters. (He doesn't like Jack. He's too arrogant and old-fashioned for Mark.)

His social skills, including ability to get along with people, are severely lacking.

Friends.

Well, he doesn't exactly have a crush, but he certainly is happier when Ronald is around.

...That they like the cards, probably.

No, and no.

His rival is, of course, Ronald. While he has the satisfaction of never having lost to Ronald, it's been close a few times, and he's one of the few people who Mark feels like can actually give him a run for his money. That's why he always bugs Ronald to duel again.
