The things I do...
Hi, there! Long time, no talk, eh? Sorry about that. I'm not gonna lie, work has been keeping me ridiculously busy. Like, so busy that I can barely even check my email while I'm working. It makes me less than happy. HOWEVER! We did hire a new guy to be Andrew's assistant, which means my work-load is now cut in half. Well, as soon as he's completely trained. I've spent multiple hours the last two weeks doing training via telephone (shoot me), but I shouldn't have to much longer. YAY!
This does, unfortunately, make me feel a little less secure in my job. Even though they're getting me a new computer and all that jazz, I started thinking of how much work I'm not doing for Nick anymore (who hasn't brought in new clients in forever) and how Andrew's work is now going to his new assistant... and well, I'm panicking a bit. Job security? Not so much.
So, I've been looking for a new job. Sadly, this area is still suffering from some serious unemployment issues. I sorta wanna cry. But, I keep looking.
ALSO! I'm going to start taking classes again in the fall. Well, one class a semester until I can get back in the swing of things. I think I'm going to work on my Associates in International Business, for now. Honestly, I'm just excited to start classes again. I kind of feel like maybe I'm getting back on the right track.
Guh! I cannot leave you guys like this. I have so much to talk about and I don't wanna write some long-ass post. I should make a list in my phone for next time. LOL.
Anyway, to end this here - since I should get back to work (really, I should - yuck) - I'm going to link you to my summerpornathon fics at AO3. I'm actually having decent fun with this, which I was worried I'd just be freaking out most of the time (which I was this week... challenge five was trying to kill me), but really, I'm enjoying it. :) So, have a read.
