that jersey girl who got raped and killed in new york is at the total mercy of misogynist journalism. ny post said she was "wearing a white skirt and black halter top" when she "wandered" away. it doesn't fucking matter if she was wearing oshkosh b'gosh or a button up shirt nearly up to her chin. nobody should be raped and there should never be an insinuation of fault for the victim. that kind of underscored sexism -- the kind that people read but won't really take notice of -- makes me so irate i almost feel violent.
i haven't written in here in a while. i'm at an impasse, perhaps?
this guy and i like one another but he's going to art school in sarasota and we're both smart enough to know that long distance relationships are nonsensical failures.
new york is becoming more and more dissapointing to me, as much as it excites me. everything is becoming the white upper middle class, and what's not white upper middle class will soon become that.
i'm moving to rio de janeiro next year. i don't care if i do journalism or if i volunteer or if i work in a grocery store.
