Hullo there Sci-Fi Peeps and welcome to one of the last Sci-Fi emails of the term. (It's panto season, so say it with me kids: "Awwwwwww!")
This week I shall be short and sweet:
1. This Friday is our SECRET SANTA so if you're involved, you need to get your gift before then, wrap it (preferably in newspaper) and bring it along. We'll be in Birt Acres as per usual, but We'll start at 6.30pm with a Doctor Who Christmas Special just to get everyone in the Christmassy mood (and also to let stragglers get their butts over to the place) and then we'll be launching right into the presents. We may or may not go and get food afterwards.
2. Hoodies. This is your last chance to acquire one. If you want one, you can EITHER email me here, OR ask me on Friday when I'll have my notebook with me to write down details. I need to know: Whether you want a zip or a non-zip hoody, What colour you want, What size and what you want written on it (25 characters or less). The deadline is next Monday, so hurry up. (I won't need money until the new year, so don't worry about it too much if you haven't got the cash now.)
3. Monday is the last of our official Monday Milgi Meetings for the term (although they usually go on over the holidays anyway in one form or another) so I'll be bringing the game we should have played two weeks ago, but didn't because of a mix-up - Let's Make a Geeky Date. If you've never seen Whose Line is it Anyway, this is the basic idea -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HPi5QVlqEaY&feature=related - Then we substitute geeky characters for the slightly more normal(ish) ones in the show. ...You'll get the idea. In any case, I shall bring that and we'll have a few rounds of it over the course of the evening (provided we have the yurt to ourselves) and you can bring stuff you want to play too and we'll mess around and play a bunch of different games. Woot. :)
Now all that's left of this email is for me to wish you all a Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah, Merry Saturnalia, Happy Kwanzaa, Merry Festivus, Happy Turkey-Day, Nadolig Llawen, Happy Diwali, Buon Natale, Merry Solstice, Happy Hogswatch (etc, etc) and I hope I'll see you all in the New Year for Winter-een-mas and the new term. We'll have lots more cool stuff to do and hopefully it won't be deathly freezing cold and dark all the time! :D
