Otakuthon 2011 Experience
Had a really good time at Otakuthon this year :) I'm really tired right now but it doesn't matter I had a good time. I didn't really go to many panels at all, like one or two. I mostly spent most of my time in the dealers room where I bought some cool stuff.
Friday was when the con started. I went as Princess Sakura from Tsubasa, and Alex went as Syaoran from the same seriesm which is who we were the whole weekend and Taylor was a female Izaya from Drrr. Saturday she was Mion from Higurashi and Sunday (Today) she was Ramona Flowers from Scott Pilgrim
The amv contest was cool. my entries didn't end up in the show but its probably for the best cause I would have embarassed myself compaired to those entries lol. They certainly were amazing. Especially these two:

It was cool to see all the cosplayers, they were all so awesome, but some of my favorites were the last minute ones. There was a cosplay someone did where they cut a hole in a cardboard box and wore that around with the word "Gundam" written on it. Another funny one was a boy wearing a sandwhich board. On the back it said "Rule #1: Everyone is Playing" and on the front it said "The Game (Bitch)". The last one I saw that was really funny was this guy who had the troll face as a mask and he had a sign that said "AniMe Sucks" and on the back it said "U Mad?" aw, he's trollin' he's trollin'. As well as the silly coplays there were also really awesome ones like Kagura and Kyo from Fruits Basket, who not only looked awesome, they totally acted the part which is always awesome. I found a Tohru later and she was so cute. She sounded like her too. She was all "Oh! Your the first person to ask me :)" the cheer in her voice was so cute.
I also got to talk to KrisRix who is part of the Sailor Moon Abridged series. She was really awesome. I bought some pins from her, and since I was a derp the entire weekened I bought one from her that just said "Derp" since because I was losing things that were in my hands or lap the entire time when I was looking in my bag for it. I also got to meet Crispin Freeman who was pretty cool. I asked him about the Endless Eight "Did you have to record each episode individually or one line eight different ways?" he said "Nope, we had to do them all individually, cause each of the flaps were different." then he signed my Haruhi DVD with "Super Size Me" written on it lol. I don't remember that in Suzumiya but I may have to watch the Endless Eight again (even if I don't want too) to see if its in there ^^;
We were able to get some cool photos with other Tsubasa characters. Including the original Syaoran who was in the black outfit with the markings on his arms. We also met a Fai *male :D* who took a picture with us. He was so in character, when we asked for a pic with him he ran up behind us and put an arm around each of us and was like "Hyuu" All I could think was "HEY FRIENDS!!" it was so awesome.
