Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott was tonight hailed as a hero after saving the life of a drowning man.
Tony Blair, 51, had been accused of being a lying, manipulative bastard.
But brave Prescott today pulled him out of a river known as 'shit creek' by replacing him on front pages for some cornball stunt in Wales.
Blair said: 'I owe a lot to John for his help in looking like a twat down the years and this is the icing on the cake.'
