Pimping communities and some links
A few things I've been meaning to pimp for a while now:
14valentines went live today! It's a community that wants to raise awereness on different issues related to womens rights during the fourteen days leading up to Valentine's Day. Each day there's a essay on the day's topic followed by related stories, art, icons, links and so on. Today's theme is Women in Academics. For more information on the community, go here. Also, last year rageprufrock did it all on her own and the results were pretty amazing!
Elsewhere, stonedtodeath posted this link to TamPontification where you can donate tampons and pads to women's shelters across the US, Canada or in Kenya with the click of a mouse. It's quick, easy and you can donate as many times as you want.
Also, over at brooklinegirl's women apparently really like talking about their boobs! Four pages of comments and counting...
