Challenge #02

For this challenge, we will be doing a drabble tree!  Some of you may remember doing this a few phases back and the original idea for this came from skieswideopen.  To create a drabble tree, you will be responding to other people's drabbles with your own using a single line from that drabble.  More than one person can respond to any given drabble ( Read more... )

(Part 2- because of the character limit)

“I believe that is what I just did,” Hux said, amused. “I came to your quarters several hours ago, and at least I found our activities very relaxing. Feel free to disagree, of course.” Yet Hux had already allowed his pants to slide back off. He leaned down to fold them neatly. Let it never be said that he was anything but perfectly neat and orderly in all things.

Ren chuckled as he watched Hux’s methodical trajectory back towards the bed. Something in this man’s uniformity called to and calmed the chaos in his soul. Here and now, the two of them, this was right. The universe outside no longer mattered. This was no longer just a game of sparks. Ren was happy for perhaps the first time in his life. The universe made sense. He no longer had to fight for barely-present control over his own inner demons. He had finally found someone who could silence the conflicting voices in his head, and it was enough.

Hux sighed as he walked around to the other side of the bed and laid himself down at Ren’s back. He softly brushed a finger through dark hair, his eyes gazing fondly at the taller man at his side. Was this what happiness was? He could get used to this, he supposed. His father would call this weakness. His past self would have thought such feelings were only for the foolish or the ignorant. It was true that Kylo could kill him with a gesture. Yet Hux knew that was no longer a real risk. Ren was as much in this as Hux was. Somehow what started as simple desire had grown into something unexpected. Hux was not sure what words he could put to this that they shared, and he was sure few would understand it. Certainly even their frequent bedplay had remained a secret from all others. And yet, somehow Hux had grown increasingly attached to his Ren. Yes, Kylo Ren was his now, and he did not think he would be willing to give up the knight for anything. He’d finally found his place.
