Jacinda was born in a small town in the Pacific Northwest. She grew up in a small nuclear family with only one other sibling (an older brother). She went to a state university and received her undergraduate degree in history and anthropology. She then went on to get her masters’ in library and information sciences with an emphasis on archives from a large state school. She worked in a variety of locations both academic and private eventually finding her way back east to New York City, a place she never thought she’d live. She currently works at the Rodgers and Hammerstein Archives of Recorded Sound in NYC as the archivist, though she lives outside of the city both to save money and give her a little more sanity.

In her job as an archivist, she oversees a staff within the New York Public Library, as well as process collections, digitize a variety of materials, and give instruction to the many different types of groups that come into use the archives.

Outside her job, Jacinda’s hobbies include her two dogs, Emmet and Ryan, both male Basenjis. She actively shows them in both conformation shows as well as lure cursing, barn hunt, and obedience. She also is an avid reader, and when she can participates in musical theatre, which considering where she lives, is rich in variety.
