Title: OT3 meta
Fandom: Leverage
Characters: Parker, Alec Hardison, Eliot Spencer
Pairings: OT3 - friendship or relationship
Warnings: nope
Word Count: 290

One of my favourite relationships over the last decade has been the relationship between Parker, Alec Hardison and Eliot Spencer from Leverage.

What draws me in about these three is that they're all broken - Parker and Eliot possibly more and in different ways than Hardison, but they're all broken, and a big part of their relationship is that they're trying to fix each other and fix themselves with the others' help. They're trying to become better people and part of what motivates them is that they don't want to disappoint the other two. It's not easy and it's not without setbacks, but they manage.

One of the best things about them is how careful and thoughtful they are with each other. They are all very aware that they're broken, that they have boundaries that can't be crossed and shadows in their pasts that won't ever be talked about. Parker and Hardison accept Eliot's gruff way to show affection. Eliot and Parker realize that Hardison needs validation, needs to be needed, and they show awe and pride whenever he's particularly brilliant. Hardison and Eliot are aware that Parker has enormous trust issues and that she's struggling with her own emotions (realising them, defining them, expressing them), so they gently tease her about the small stuff and simply accept the rest. Because it's Parker.

They support each other, they defend each other and they accept each other. They are one hundred percent united in their quest to become better people - which is exactly why they're eventually going to succeed. Because if there's one thing Leverage has taught us, it's that you need to work together and act as a team in order to succeed.
