Welsh freedom fighters
Does anyone remeber the old ITV TV show 'Knights of God'? I was having a conversation about it recently and no one appears to remember it existed (of course I forgot what it was called, it thought it was Army of God). I just spent my lunchbreak proving to myself that I hadn't imagined it.
It was very strange and made in about 1985 I think. Basicaly it was like 2020 and England was ruled by the titular right wing religious organisation. They brainwashed people and hunted rebels in helicopters that looked suspicioulsy Airwolfy if I recall correctly.
Anyway I recall it being very dark, the hero was looking for the last memeber of the royal family to rally the rebels against the Knights, but had secretly been 'programmed' by the bad guys to assassinate said royal sprog. The twist being of course that He turned out to be the blue blooded munchkin in question and tried to kill himself.
This was saturday teatime telly for kids.
