Summary: Ueda is in love with Ryo. The problem is, he doesn’t know it and instead insists that he hates the poison-tongued man, more than anything else. Will his friends be able to convince him of his true feelings or will it be too late for the couple that gets along “0%”?

Chapter 2
After school, Ueda was waiting for his ride to pick him up. He was sitting on a bench on the edge of school grounds with his mouth open and he was staring at a tall boy standing nearby, across the parking lot. He appeared to be a new student since Ueda had never seen him before. The boy looked lost and was walking around aimlessly before seeing Ueda and smiling.
Ueda gulped as he watched the boy come closer.
“Hi, I’m new here. Do you think you can tell me where the school office is?” the handsome boy smiled.
Ueda just continued to stare without saying anything.
“Umm--hello? Can you help me to the school office?” the taller boy waved his hand in front of Ueda’s face in hopes of getting a response.
“OH! S-s-sorry, I-I-yeah um--it’s this way, I’ll show you,” Ueda got up from his seat and the other boy smiled as he nodded and followed Ueda.
“So what’s your name?” the stranger asked.
“U-Ueda--Tatsuya Ueda,” he stuttered, blushing as the other boy stared at him.
“My name’s Junnosuke Taguchi, but you can call me--”
“JUNNO!” a voice called out from behind the pair.
The boy turned and smiled, with Ueda turning around right after him. His eyes widened when he saw Ryo running down the hallway, calling out to the tall boy.
“Hey cuz!” Junno called out.
“CUZ?!” Ueda gasped.
Ryo finally caught up, “I didn’t know you were coming today. I would’ve shown you around--you wouldn’t have to get stuck with this--guy,” he motioned his head towards Ueda.
Ueda glared, “WHAT?! What was that?”
“Oh, so you two know each other?” Junno asked.
“‘Know each other’?!” Ryo laughed, “We’re in the same class--and have been for the past, oh, 8 years? Oh and he’s in love with me.”
Ueda’s mouth dropped and his heart stopped. He would’ve fallen on the floor but he managed to regain consciousness long enough to defend himself.
“In love with you?! I HATE YOU! I DESPISE YOU! I WOULD DO ANYTHING TO GET YOU OUT OF MY LIFE FOR GOOD!” he heaved loudly.
Ryo looked at him and then looked at Junno, “See? Totally in love with me.”
Junno just laughed and the pair walked off in another direction from Ueda. Meanwhile, Ueda was standing in the same place, breathing heavily and sounding like he was ready to explode. Kame came up to him and poked him.
“What’s up?”
Ueda turned around with a deranged look on his face, scaring the crap out of Kame.
“Holy sh--what the hell happened to you?!” he said, backing against a wall, trying to avoid Ueda’s touch.
“That--that IDIOT! HE’S--GAH! I’m gonna kill him! And then I’m going to feed his body to ravenous wolves and then I’m gonna take the excrement and I’m gonna burn it and then I’m gonna--I’m gonna--”
“You’re gonna what? Tat-chan, get a hold of yourself! You’re acting insane, and it’s because you let Nishikido get to you like that--”
“Huh? How’d you--?”
“Tat-chan,” Kame looked at his friend, “Every time you say the word ‘he’ and ‘idiot’, I know you’re talking about Nishikido. Either I know you way too well or you’re just that damn predictable!”
“Aw--g--I don’t know what to think anymore. This guy gets on my nerves and there’s nothing I can do about it because--”
“Because you--like him?” Kame smiled.
Ueda glared at his friend before saying, “I’m going home now. I’ll see you tomorrow.”
He walked off shaking his head and walked to his mom’s car which was waiting for him in the parking lot and hopped in without saying a word.
“How was your day?” his mom smiled.
He just grunted and sank down in his seat, clutching his backpack and staring at the dashboard.
The next morning was gray, mostly because Ueda was in a really bad mood and taking it out on everyone who talked to him.
“Good morning, Tat-chan,” Jin smiled as he walked up behind his friend.
“WHAT’S SO GOOD ABOUT IT?!” the shorter boy growled, practically foaming at the mouth.
Jin jumped back, clutching at his chest, looking very offended.
“What’s--what’s--” he stammered.
“Oh, he’s just P.M.S.-ing because Ryo embarrassed him yesterday in front of Ryo’s hot cousin, Junno,” Maru interrupted, not even blinking throughout his entire statement.
“How--what--what are you talking about?!” Ueda defended.
“Kame told me,” he said, pointing to Kame before putting his scarf up to his mouth to block out the cold.
Ueda turned around to see Kame, who happened to be talking to Ryo’s good-looking cousin, Junno and the devil himself, Ryo.
“Dammit--KAME!” Ueda called out, startling Kame. He hustled over and looked really pissed.
“Oh well if isn’t Little Miss Sunshine?” Ryo quipped, laughing and nudging his cousin, who was giggling as well.
“Kame, what are you doing talking to this--ass?! And J-J-J-J-” Ueda had trouble speaking correctly.
“Junno?” Kame asked.
“Mmmhmm,” Ueda nodded, looking at Junno who smiled, causing him to blush.
“Good morning, Tatsuya. How are you feeling today?” the taller man said, his smile seemed to light up the sky, at least to Ueda.
“I--I--I’m fine, thank you,” Ueda’s cheeks turning redder by the second.
“Tatsuya? What are you doing calling him by his first name?! You barely know him!” Ryo mumbled to Junno.
“What? I just thought Tatsuya was a nice name and it suits him perfectly,” Junno looked from Ryo to Ueda. Ueda just continued to blush, making Kame stifle his laughter.
Ryo just glared and said, “Come on--we gotta get to class. I’ll see you later, Kame--and I’ll see you--UEDA--in homeroom, that is if you can walk with that thing hardening in your pants!”
He grabbed Junno and the pair walked off, with Ryo dragging his cousin who nervously waved to Kame and Ueda.
“Um--Tat-chan? Ryo just insulted you and you didn’t even blink. What’s going--Tat-chan?!” Kame nudged his friend but Ueda wasn’t moving.
“He called me Tatsuya,” Ueda sighed, smiling dreamily as his eyes sparkled.
Kame looked at him and then motioned for Jin and Maru to come over.
“What’s with him?” Maru asked, still covering his mouth with his scarf.
“I don’t know--he’s mumbling something about someone calling him Tatsuya,” Kame poked Ueda, hoping to get a reaction.
“Tatsuya? Did Ryo call him ‘Tatsuya’?” Jin beamed.
Just then Ueda turned and glared.
“Stupid asshole! He insulted me! He insinuated that I had a hard-on!” Ueda ranted, barely realizing what had happened 5 minutes ago.
“Now, he gets it!” Kame sighed.
“Haha Ryo said what?” Maru laughed.
“That jerk! I’ll--I’ll--Junno,” Ueda sighed happily, as he started to daydream.
“WHAT THE HELL?!” his friends all jumped back, staring at their friend oddly.
“Huh? What? Oh--look--Koki’s here today,” Ueda pointed at the car that had stopped in the parking lot.
A boy with a shaved head and baggy pants jumped out, smiling and grabbing his backpack before waving goodbye to his mom who was dropping him off.
“Bye Mom! Oh! Hey guys,” Koki ran over excitedly before skidding in front of his friends and waving.
“What the hell, Koki? Where were you yesterday? You missed out,” Kame said, crossing his arms and looking a bit annoyed.
“I was sick--I called Maru yesterday! He didn’t tell me about missing anything!” Koki frantically said.
Maru just shrugged his shoulders while Jin just smiled, mindlessly.
“Tat-chan has a crush,” the smiling boy said.
“On Nishikido? I thought that was old news,” Koki replied, startled when he saw Ueda glaring at him.
“I do NOT have a crush on Nishikido! That asshole--I oughta--” Ueda muttered angrily to himself, crossing his arms and looking away.
“Oh? Then who?” Koki asked.
“On Ryo’s hot cousin, Junnosuke Taguchi!” Jin blurted out, catching Ueda’s attention.
“I do not have a crush on--J-J-J-J-Taguchi,” Ueda’s cheeks resumed their natural red color, or at least what seemed to be normal to the boy with the short temper.
His friends stared at him with an expression of puzzlement on their faces, like they couldn’t believe Ueda could deny what was obviously true.
“WHAT?!” he shouted, looking at each individual face and starting to sweat.
“You seriously--wow--denial must be your middle name,” Kame shook his head.
“What? I’m not in denial! I’m just stating what’s true--” Ueda looked nervously at Kame then at Jin and then at Koki and Maru.
“Tat-chan--you have a crush on Junno and you’re in love with R--” Jin started but Kame hushed him.
“He’s not gonna get it--even if you spell it out for him, so just give it up,” Kame whispered.
Jin nodded as did Koki and Maru, this made Ueda even more annoyed.
“What are you guys saying about me?!” he ranted. He looked up and he saw Junno standing outside of the classroom, waving at him and smiling. Ueda’s scowl softened and he started to smile stupidly, and waved his arm frantically.
His friends just stared at him, not realizing what he was doing or why he was doing it. Koki turned and saw no one, since Junno had been dragged back into the classroom by Ryo. Ueda’s smile disappeared and it turned back into a frown, but this time he wasn’t mad but a bit saddened.
“You’re so weird,” Maru muttered, shaking his head in disbelief.
“I AM NOT!” Ueda defended but his friends weren’t listening.
“Come on, the bell’s about to ring--we gotta get to homeroom,” Kame instructed.
Jin and Kame went to their classroom, while Koki went to his, and Maru and Ueda made their way to theirs.
Ueda gulped as he saw that Junno was sitting in the desk next to Ueda’s usual desk. Maru looked on, nonchalantly and whispered, “Lucky you,” in a sarcastic tone of voice before sitting in his own desk on the opposite side of Ueda’s.
Ueda took a deep breath before walking over and sitting down. He didn’t make eye contact despite the fact that Junno was clearly looking at him and smiling, leaning his face against his hand and turning his body towards the boy next to him.
“Oh, Tatsuya, I didn’t realize you were in this homeroom. Isn’t that a coincidence?” he teased.
Ueda blushed and nodded, his mouth slightly opened as he breathed through his mouth. He tried speaking but could only make strange sounds that sounded nothing like words.
Finally, he was kicked by Maru which got his tongue to work.
“Maru, what the h--” he started but Maru pointed his head in Junno’s direction.
Junno turned to someone sitting on his other side and was talking, causing Ueda to be a bit depressed that he lost his chance at having an actual conversation with the boy he clearly liked. Unfortunately for him, he’d end up talking to Ryo instead, who was on his way over to Ueda’s desk.
“Yo--you need to stop staring at my cousin like he’s some piece of meat,” Ryo said in a serious but exaggerated tone of voice.
“Bite me,” was all the Ueda said, crossing his arms and leaning against the back of his chair, his gaze turned away from Ryo.
“Oh, I see that it’s still me that you want--that’s unfortunate, I guess, but fortunate for Junno. Wouldn’t want him to have someone like you stalking him, especially since he just started.”
“YOU WANNA START SOMETHING?!” Ueda jumped up from his desk, and slammed his hands against the top of it.
Junno, along with everyone else in the room, looked in shock at Ueda who was too busy glaring at Ryo to notice. Maru didn’t seem fazed by Ueda’s outburst and just kept reading the book he had on his desk. Ryo glared back at Ueda.
“What are you gonna do about it?”
“Wouldn’t you like to know?” Ueda growled back.
“Okay--that’s enough, you two. Ryo, go back to the hole you crawled out of and leave Tatsuya alone. Tatsuya, ignore my cousin--he’s got a tongue that works faster than his brain,” Junno stood up and gently pushed Ryo away from the other boy.
“JUNNO!” Ryo cried.
Ueda tried to hide the smile that was beginning to form on his face, so he just looked away and hid his face. Ryo glared at Junno but Junno was taller than him, and therefore, very threatening. Luckily for Ueda, Ryo backed off and went back to his side of the room.
Junno sighed and looked back at Ueda who was still hiding his face.
“I’m sorry, Tatsuya, I guess I need to keep a closer eye on my cousin. He’s--he’s a handful, as I’m sure you already know--especially since you’ve been together for so long.”
“What?!”
“I--I mean, together--in the same class--not like a--a--I’m sorry,” he laughed.
Ueda started laughing too and the pair were just laughing together.
Maru rolled his eyes and shook his head, while Ryo was grunting and mumbling to himself across the room, kicking the desk in front of him.
The laughing stopped and Junno smiled and asked, “Do you wanna hang out sometime?”
“Huh?” Ueda was taken aback.
“Do you wanna hang out with me? Like at lunch or after school or possibly--this weekend?” Junno bit his lip and put his hands behind his back.
Ueda didn’t say anything and just looked at the other boy with an open mouth. After about 5 seconds of silence, he just nodded and smiled.
“Mmmhmm,” he mumbled.
Junno smiled and said, “Cool--we can go to the movies or something. What kind of movies do you like?”
Ueda perked up and the two started a conversation.
Meanwhile, Ryo was still staring at the pair, glaring and grunting and mumbling to himself. Clearly he was very angry and when his friend asked him what was wrong, he just screamed, “NOTHING! I’M FINE!”

A/N: So Junno and Koki are in the series now ^^ and Junno happens to be Tat-chan's new crush :D Poor Ryo lol this may cause some problems with what he's used to :P Anyways, it's looking interesting now, right? :] Thanks to everyone who read the last chapter, and all those who commented as well! ^^ The feedback is always awesome and I'm grateful for that! Junno, along with everyone else in the room, looked in shock at Ueda who was too busy glaring at Ryo to notice. Maru didn’t seem fazed by Ueda’s outburst and just kept reading the book he had on his desk. Ryo glared back at Ueda.
“What are you gonna do about it?”
“Wouldn’t you like to know?” Ueda growled back.
“Okay--that’s enough, you two. Ryo, go back to the hole you crawled out of and leave Tatsuya alone. Tatsuya, ignore my cousin--he’s got a tongue that works faster than his brain,” Junno stood up and gently pushed Ryo away from the other boy.
“JUNNO!” Ryo cried.
Ueda tried to hide the smile that was beginning to form on his face, so he just looked away and hid his face. Ryo glared at Junno but Junno was taller than him, and therefore, very threatening. Luckily for Ueda, Ryo backed off and went back to his side of the room.
Junno sighed and looked back at Ueda who was still hiding his face.
“I’m sorry, Tatsuya, I guess I need to keep a closer eye on my cousin. He’s--he’s a handful, as I’m sure you already know--especially since you’ve been together for so long.”
“What?!”
“I--I mean, together--in the same class--not like a--a--I’m sorry,” he laughed.
Ueda started laughing too and the pair were just laughing together.
Maru rolled his eyes and shook his head, while Ryo was grunting and mumbling to himself across the room, kicking the desk in front of him.
The laughing stopped and Junno smiled and asked, “Do you wanna hang out sometime?”
“Huh?” Ueda was taken aback.
“Do you wanna hang out with me? Like at lunch or after school or possibly--this weekend?” Junno bit his lip and put his hands behind his back.
Ueda didn’t say anything and just looked at the other boy with an open mouth. After about 5 seconds of silence, he just nodded and smiled.
“Mmmhmm,” he mumbled.
Junno smiled and said, “Cool--we can go to the movies or something. What kind of movies do you like?”
Ueda perked up and the two started a conversation.
Meanwhile, Ryo was still staring at the pair, glaring and grunting and mumbling to himself. Clearly he was very angry and when his friend asked him what was wrong, he just screamed, “NOTHING! I’M FINE!”
