And since Lilbreck requested Kal-El for her birthday, here's a short AU Kaloe ficlet [ETA: which is now a 12-chapter fic!], set in a world where the meteor showers happened years later, and Kal didn't come alone.....

Interesting. I like the AU take on how Kal-El and Chloe could have met. Bringing in the mythology was also a nice touch.

kal-el never understimate a sullivan or the daily planet . loved how he choose her as his mate all because she talked back to him and looked him in the eyes . i like the way you did this .it put a whole new twist it the myth.

BTW, I apologize for not crediting you right away for using "Sull-I-Van" in my story. It's so perfect that I couldn't resist having Kal say it, and then I was desperate to get this story up before midnight, and I just forgot. *Hangs head* I've corrected that oversight now, and I hope you didn't mind!

That's completely fine. I just love that people are writing Kal-El. Lilbreck may have started something here. However, I think that I stole Sull-I-Van too, although I'm not sure from where. I've just read fics over the years where the Fortress AI does it and I liked the idea. Somewhere there's an Oedipal joke between Sull-I-Van and Lara Lor-Van but I haven't figured those nuances out yet.

The icon was made for me by the lovely Lilbreck. If you'd like to borrow it, you can. I know that, if she knew it would get even more Kal-El fics out of you, then she'd make you one too, when she has time.

This was so much fun! I really like the thought of Kal-El as the Overlord of Earth and Chloe as his mate whilst she works against his rule and I'd love to see more of this dynamic *hint*
