awww chloe became lois .her and cark are married :D . loved the whole thing . the part where perry and martha were flirting was cute plus the part where chlois hoped they would figure it out soon then her or clark did. welcome back
Thank you, glad you liked it! I know I've been slacking off on writing lately, but it's good to be back. Next up is the finale of "Gods and Butterflies," which I'm working on. :)
That was fun. I liked how you explained what could happen in the aftermath of Arctic, without actually detailing all the events. And the dedication part was very nice, a fitting tribute (or so I thought) to both Lois Lanes.
Plus the Chlarky bit was nice too.
I have to admit I was rather amused that only 1 in 1000 can name all five of the freedoms guaranteed by the First Amendment. It's a little sad that more people can name Simpsons characters than their guaranteed rights.
Thank you very much!! Filling in the details about post-Arctic events was the toughest part of writing this fic, because they had to be suggested, not stated, so I'm relieved that you liked the way I did it. (After reading your comment, I realized I'd missed one detail--an explanation of why Chloe went brunette--so I tweaked the story to add that as well.)
I ran into that news article in the course of researching the Newseum for this fic, and it fascinated me too. Sadly, I have to confess that I could only name four of the five freedoms, even though I was a journalism major. (I missed the right to petition.) I put all five freedoms into the story as a way of redeeming myself for that miss. :)
Awesome. I loved. It was a perfect explanation of Chlois and what may transpire after Arctic. Great Job! It's funny, I usually don't really get into POV fics, there are only few who do it well. And I definitely coun't you among them. I didn't even really it was a POV fic until the end. That is how seemlessly you wrote it. Awesome.
Thank you so much! I'm especially happy that you liked the POV, because it may actually be the first time I've ever written first-person Chloe POV. Normally, I prefer third-person, but I wanted to avoid calling her "Lois" too soon, which would have confused the reader, so first-person it was.
I'm glad you liked it, and as always, I appreciate your feedback! :)
Wonderful! OF course, I knew it would be. This is certainly one obvious way for Chloe to assume the mantle of Lois Lane and I can see it since Chloe's cousin does rush in without thinking a situation through and often gets hurt as a result. Chloe is a sentimental soul and I can see her doing this as a memorial to her cousin who wanted a big headline. I loved Clark appearing in the suit and that Martha and Chloe helped him design it. And of course I loved that C&C have figured it all out between them.
I know exactly what you mean about getting sidetracked by details but that's what makes it all fun: to emerse yourself in the bits and pieces of the world you're creating. Now I must go back to read it again!
Hee, of *course* Superman would help out! And I'm sure he would've taken time to blow the coal dust out of your cellar while he was at it. *g*
I'm very glad you think my scenario makes sense. I pieced together some of the theories I've read recently (about Ollie getting Chloe released and buying the Planet, Chloe breaking the Luthorcorp expose in a blog, and her MF power burning out after she took on Brainiac), and hoped readers would like the result. The toughest part was slipping them into the story by suggestion, without letting them bog down the plot.
Speaking of getting "bogged down," you're right that getting sidetracked by details can be fun, even if it's time-consuming. I spent almost as much time researching this story as I did writing it, but I now know all five freedoms in the First Amendment, *and* the early history of Kansas. Plus how to translate the state's motto. *Beams proudly*
Thanks, as always, for the lovely feedback, Marg! :)
