I posted a lot more stories this year than last (24 this year, up from 11 in 2006), although since they tended to be short, the total word count was only slightly higher. It came out to about 77,000 words, which, added to my total for last year (about 70,500), still comes up a little shy of the 150,000 mark. On the plus side, that word count includes a story that I consider to be the best fanfic I've ever written. :) (More about that under the cut.)
First, the WiPs
Gods and Butterflies (Chlark, AU, PG to NC-17).
(I know this one's overdue for an update, which I hope to post before this year is over. After this latest update, there should still be about four or five chapters left.)
Post-"Gemini" series:
Twas the Night(mare) and
Home for Christmas (These two were supposed to be seasonal one-shots, but they've set up Chloe to figure out who Bizarro really is, and I'd like to see how she does it. *g*)
G- to PG-rated Chlark and Chlois fic
Lots in this category, of course. :) I've put my personal favorites first.
A Dog’s Life. Chlark + Shelby = LOVE.)
Sympathy for the Devil. Almost as much Chlex as Chlark, surprisingly. Lex is fun to write, the little devil. ;)
Endless. This is a bittersweet Chlois ficlet featuring another of my favorite characters, Perry White.
Time Bomb. Post-"Freak" Chlark in which Clark actually lives up to his promises, yay!
Spoonful of Sugar. A Chlark take on the "South Beach Diet." Its sequel,
Sugar-free Cooking, was my very first NC-17 fic.
If the Shoe Fits. The parallels between Chloe and Cinderella were too tempting to resist, which is how this Cinderella!Chlark AU was born.
Sealed with a Kiss. A post-"Crimson" ficlet with a twist at the end.
Cotton Candy Treasures, and its sequel,
Thrill Ride. Pure Chlark fluff, guest starring Kara.
Rebirth. Brief, sombre, one-shot Chlois origin fic. Character death warning.
Iron Chef. Cooking with Chlark! Very short.
First Impressions. Chlois and Clark at the DP, another brief one-shot.
Cleaning House. Chimmy (friendship), post-"Promise."
Adult fiction, rated R and NC-17, all Chlark
Again, in order of my own preference:
The Naked Truth. I'm a sucker for floating Clark...and floating Chlark. :)
Heat Wave. Strictly speaking, this isn't Chlark, since Chloe's the only character, but it definitely leans that way.
All-Nighter. My proud contribution to the Chlark K-Site Smut-a-thon. :)
Sugar-free Cooking. The sequel to Spoonful of Sugar, listed in the PG section above.
Gen fiction
Only two in this category this year:
Hearts and Flowers . Funny, Lana-centric one-shot, not exactly for Clana fans.
Legacy. To complement (and contrast with) the above, a Lex-centric one-shot that's anything but funny.
Clex(ish)
I wrote two that fit this description, but I'm only listing one here. You'll see why in a minute.
Personal Care. Ever wonder what really goes on during all those Clexian trips to the ER? This ficlet tells all.
Finally, my all-time favorite story of 2007
And, yep, it's Clex. Obviously, Lex inspires me. *g*
Community Service. Teen!Lex and kid!Clark, sharing a wild night at the Metropolis Museum. Can be seen as pre-slash or friendship. This fic, IMO, is the best-written, best-plotted fic I've ever produced, partly because I find Lex and the Clex relationship a fascinating subject, and partly (maybe mostly) because Lex is such a challenging character to write.
That said, I'm still a dedicated Chlarker. A Dog's Life, The Naked Truth, and Sympathy for the Devil are all pretty much tied for second place on my 2007 favorites list, and they're all Chlark (except, OK, maybe a *little* Chlex).

Happy New Year to everyone on my f-list, and I wish everyone another year of good reading and fic writing in 2008!
