"Ugly Betty" Cancelled

And honestly, even though I've enjoyed this season far more than the last two (which I mostly didn't even watch), I can't say I'm sorry. In fact, as much as I enjoy Marc and Amanda (and the new, rejuvenated Daniel/Betty 'ship), imo the show *was* beginning to outstay its welcome. Unlike some other networks that will remain nameless (*whistles*), ABC had the wisdom to pull the plug before the main storyline was beaten to a pulp, AND they're giving the writers plenty of notice so that they have time to wrap things up.
Even better, there may be a Marc-Amanda spinoff coming next year, yay!! (I hope they figure out a way to fit Justin in there, too. It would be a shame to waste such a talented young actor!)
I'm looking forward to seeing how they end this!
(P.S. A lot of Twitterers are saying that the show was "as good as dead" the minute it was switched to Friday. Not sure I agree that the network was out to kill the show--because ABC *did* give UB a chance to redeem itself on Wednesdays--but it turned out to be true. :) )
