I'm not taking all the blame for this one.

So, the story goes: There was a thief in Paris, who attempted to steal some paintings from the Louvre. After careful planning, and with some luck, he managed to get past security, steal the paintings and make a getaway in his van.

Nonetheless, he was captured only two blocks away, when the vehicle ran out of gas.

Happy to have the paintings back unharmed, the authorities nonetheless wanted to know how someone could mastermind such a crime, and still make such an obvious error.



Quoth the would-be thief: Monsieur! J'ai vole' les peintures, seulement pour cette raison! Yes! It's true!



"I had no Monet



To buy Degas



To make the Van Gogh."
