Happy and Sad
For those who don't know, Uberbyte have been booked to play the Summer Darkness festival in the Netherlands this.. well, summer. As if that's not good enough, I found out the other day my all-time heroes The Birthday Massacre are down to play too! Yaaaay!! Slightly odder is the addition of Lacuna Coil to the topspot what I believe is otherwise a predominantly electronic lineup (VNV, Cruxshadows, Grendel, Reaper etc). However, I don't know what a number of the other bands are like, so this may not be unusual.
On a more sorrowful note, I read this morning about the bat that clung to the Discovery launch - really quite beautiful. Even more so is the touching eulogy written for the brave Spacebat here on Gizmodo.
