Thanks, Sabina! In theory, I love starting out fresh and new, but reality has taught me that I'm more often terrified. Ha. But I'm over that now, thankfully.
Our first choice was a two-bedroom, but finding one we liked and within our price range and location was a challenge so we settled for a one-bedroom as a last resort and also out of desperation. We were living in a one-bedroom in Hamilton, so it's nothing different (except this place feels bigger and it's so much nicer!). The leases here are only 6 months long so likely, we'll find a new place thereafter. We're planning for a second child too, and living in a one-bedroom with two kids will be crazy. But for now, a one-bedroom works all right for us, since there's enough space that we don't all drive each other insane.
Yes, we all sleep in a double bed. We have been since Raspberry was a month old. :) It was all right when she was much smaller but she's long and very wiggly at night and it's gotten annoying. In a bit, maybe soon after she turns 5, we might look into getting her a separate mattress so we'll be able to sleep more comfortably.
