neon yellow

My urine has a neon yellow, radioactive quality to it. The first time I noticed its luminosity was on Thursday, when I peed all over the floor when I was supposed to be aiming into a wide-mouthed bottle (it's for the asthma study I'm in). The yellowness really stands out against a white background, resembling biohazardous spilled chemicals more than misplaced urine.

It's because of the antibiotics I'm on for my dissipating bladder infection. The doctor offered me another pill, one to help with the excruciating discomfort when peeing. "I have to warn you though. It'll turn your urine the color of my shirt," she quips, pointing at her blood-orange polo shirt. Amused, I contemplated freaking out the asthma researchers with mortifyingly-discolored urine, but out of non-necessity, I chose not to fill that prescription. I popped the last pill this morning, number ten in a series of ten over five days. I'm a little disheartened at the thought that my urine's going to be more-or-less normal-colored after today. I can't claim pseudo-mutant status in that case.
