Usually when I walk down the sidewalks during passing time, I look straight ahead without noticing the people coming towards me. However sometimes I try to make eye contact with them.
I search for someone who can understand me and who is feeling the same feelings as I do. I spot people who I think would be good friends and others who have similar ambitions. My hope is that in locking eyes, a connection can be made with the unspoken phrase "I understand".
In other news, I just found out that I won the garden state poster from the cafeteria drawing last night. It's a nice feeling as I very rarely ever win things.
