Talisker all the way, baby!

Avoid Glenfiddich. I'd go for the Highland Park.

That particular Glenfiddich is OK, I think. They have a range of older bottlings nowadays which are quite different from the boring Finland ferry stuff. Let's see, my Murray (2005) says:

* Highland Park - 95/100
* Glenfiddich Ancient Reserve - 92/100
* Glenmorangie Port Wood - 84/100
* Talisker - not tasted

This rhymes well with my gut feeling, which said eliminate the Glenmorangie first. Personally, I think the Glenfiddich sounds interesting. I haven't tried their better ones. I wonder how new the Talisker bottling is, when Murray doesn't mention it.

I'll admit that I haven't tried Glenfiddich more than a couple of times, and I don't know what particular versions of it. On the other hand I've yet to find one that I like.

I don't know the particular versions of the other whiskys listed either, but I normally like those.

I've been lax sampling my whisky reserve for a while, lately. Lax enough that I don't even know off-hand what it contains...
